Sustainability
W. Dimer GmbH puts particular emphasis on an environmentally compatible production, the economical use of raw materials and the conservation of resources. With our ecoline product and packaging solutions, we process a wide range of sustainable and resource-saving foams and cellulose wadding.

W. Dimer GmbH is committed to sustainability!
Our sustainability strategy is based on the goals of the Agenda 2030, the Global Compact, the UN Human Rights Charter, the ILO and ISO 26000 Environmental and Social standards.
100 % green electricity
With an output of 270 kWp, our in-house photovoltaic system supplies a major part of our electricity needs on a daily basis. The remaining electricity demand is covered by 100% green energy only. Since the first photovoltaic system put into operation in 2013, we have been able to save 677 tons of CO² so far.
E-mobility
Our entire fleet includes electric forklifts, supplemented by company-owned electric vehicles. The electric vehicles are charged by an in-house charging station, partly fed by electricity from our PV system.
Digitization
In recent years, parts of the manufacturing process and large parts of the office area have already been digitized. As a result, we could significantly reduce paper consumption, printing emissions and C02 emissions for mailing. It is our ambition to continuously extend the digitization process.
Modern resource-saving production techniques
We use state-of-the-art technologies in our processing and finishing options. Our machines work highly efficiently in terms of resource consumption, and we also pay very close attention to avoiding material waste and scrap. By using almost exclusively energy-saving LED bulbs, our lighting system also contributes to our energy-saving policy.
Recycling of polyurethane foam side trims
We process polyurethane foam side trimmings into a new material - composite foam. This in turn is used to produce sustainable packaging, technical parts, sound insulation and much more.

Biomass "woodchips" replaces fuel oil
Since 2011, we have been heating our office building as well as our production and storage halls with a woodchip heating system. The woodchips come from sustainably managed forests in our direct neighborhood (Hotzenwald region in the Southern Black Forest).
Human rights and working conditions
Humane working conditions, fair pay and occupational safety are a matter of course for us. We have signed up to the GKV Code of Conduct, which includes compliance requirements as well as ethical and social principles.
We also expect our business partners to comply with the ILO or a comparable system.
PEFC or FCE certified raw materials
We are tree sponsor in forests of Baden-Wuerttemberg
Environmental certification ISO 14001
Our environmental management has been certified for more than a decade now. This means that environmental protection and sustainability have played a key role in our daily work for many years and are meanwhile incorporated into all processes.
