Winner of the TOP 100 Innovator Award 2017
Anyone who is accepted into the elite ranks of the 100 most innovative medium-sized companies and receives the TOP100 - Innovator Award can claim with great pride that their efforts to make constant improvements, not only economically but also ecologically, have paid off in full.
W. Dimer GmbH, located in the idyllic Laufenburg (Germany), is officially one of Germany's most innovative medium-sized companies and is rightly pleased to be part of the 101 national and 26 global industry leaders who have received this honor. The company was honored at this year's German SME Summit in Essen.
At this year's German SME Summit in Essen, Ranga Yogeshwar, known from various science TV programs, honored the company in his role as "TOP100 mentor" with the coveted "Top100 seal", which has been awarded for over 20 years.
The award was preceded by participation in a multi-stage, independent scientific selection process that evaluated the companies' innovation management and innovation success. 262 companies were honored with the TOP 100 Award in three size categories. .
The jury includes numerous personalities from politics and business. Since 2002, the scientific leadership of the jury has been held by Professor Dr. Nikolaus Franke, from the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, one of the world's leading innovation researchers.
"Our thanks for achieving this award belong to our employees and customers, without them we wouldn`t have made it and we wouldn`t be where we are today," says Managing Director Armin Dannenberger. .
The management of the family-owned company, which was founded in 1930, spends one third of its working time on dealing with innovations. This includes, above all, the 40 employees, all of whom are actively involved in finding innovations.
"The voice of the skilled worker carries particular weight in this process. Because he has to implement most of the ideas," Dannenberger emphasizes.
Armin Dannenberger's working day always begins with a visit to the production department, where he inquires about the latest state of affairs. This could always be the first step for a new idea of the top innovator. The TOP 100 seal of approval was awarded to Armin Dannenberger by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
W. Dimer GmbH, which has been awarded the TOP 100 seal, knows how to make new products from supposed waste. The foam packaging specialists process cuttings left over from the trimming of PU foam blocks into new products, such as the composite foam EsCoBis ® and composite foam moldings DIM Foam. They are used, for example, to make custom foam packaging, molded parts for the upholstered furniture industry and sound insulation for machinery and buildings.
Although this is an extremely innovative and ecological process, it is not only these processes that guarantee maximum efficiency, but also the fact that W. Dimer GmbH completely dispenses with transport and logistics, which protects and preserves the environment to a not inconsiderable extent.
The renunciation of logistics and transport is due to the new development of a special machine line and could not be accomplished without this innovation.
Absolutely worth mentioning is the further innovation, which W. Dimer GmbH has patented. This is a special, closed suction insert, which is mainly used in the food industry for packaging meat, fish and fruit.
These two top innovations, as well as the company's own photovoltaic system for electricity production, protect the environment and literally pay off for the Laufenburg-based company: All three measures have brought the Baden-based company a ten percent increase in sales.
With its high innovative strength, W. Dimer GmbH, together with the other winners of the TOP100 Award, which all belong to the pacesetters in their industry, is at the forefront of national and international innovation pioneers.
This is also confirmed by the figures of the evaluation by Professor Dr. Franke: "Among the award winners are 101 national market leaders and 26 world market leaders. Together, they applied for 1,226 international and national patents in the past three years."
If we were to settle for the award now, we would not have earned this venerable distinction. We will always remain true to our credo of "continuous improvement" and will continue to protect and preserve our environment, for ourselves, our children, grandchildren and beyond, through the above-average initiative in all process, product and technology developments. Thus the W. Dimer GmbH.
